About 20 participants, mainly young people, attended the event in Merklingen on 6.2.2019. After the introductory lecture on "Euthanasia" and afterwards on "What does it mean to learn from history" by Inga Jäger, Rainer Höß showed his multiple award-winning film "Enkel-Grandson", directed by Alexsandar Reljic. The listeners were deeply impressed and the question time to the topics of the evening was quite intense. All together it led to the wish to organize a trip to Auschwitz in March.

This topic reminds me of "President" Trump & the reason is both simple & dark. He's been using EXACT words of the worst murderer in modern history. He keeps calling anyone he dislikes "...the enemy of the people" and he's been doing it, really, for almost the entire time he's been ensconced in his position of "president." No other U.S president consistently used exact speech of Adolf Hitler & no other U.S president constantly made inappropriate speeches in public.
There's something seriously wrong with him and if people in America continue to act as if what Trump's doing is a game (like Jim Jordan & Tom Green of the GOP did at the House Oversight Hearing), I can only say those people will be almost as responsible for any future nefarious activity Trump engages in as Trump himself.
I can't even find words to describe how deeply concerned I am about this issue. I've been that way since before November 9, 2016 and it's not just because I'm an American whose family still think they're Republican.
Trump's NOT Republican. He's not anything at all except the same kind of dictator HITLER was; if he wasn't why would he choose Hitler'w exact words with which to address the entire world?
We look like a laughingstock and it's all his FAULT, but I think he believes the things he says that were first uttered, in the same hyper-frothy-emotional tone, that Hitler ALways used.
When someone continues to use the same speech that the worst murderer in modern history did, I think it's PAST time to worry & the GOP are now accomplices in whatever plan Trump has hatched instead of doing something to stop him.
From a deeply concerned American citizen who comes from a (old-school) Republican family*
He keeps blaming everything on Democrats and saying they're the only ones interested in placing checks & balances on him. It isn't true. I'm not Democrat. Just because I'm not Republican anymore doesn't mean I'm Democrat.
